Sidney — Richard E. Burgess, 81, of West River Road in Sidney, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Maine Veterans' Home in Augusta.
He was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of Ralph and Elsie (Simmons) Burgess.
